Artist's Statement: At this point in my life, I am an old-young artist, still taking in the beautiful and terrible world with my eyes and heart, and sending it back out again to whoever will see it. It is exhausting; it is exhilarating; it is what I do. I began painting as a child and fell in love with the materials and the natural world, and so began the observations that have since enriched my life. My first painting was of trees, as I suppose my last will also be!
